Srinagar, April 11: There are 31 Coronavirus patients kept in isolation at JVC SKIMS Bemina here in Srinagar.
A medico in the hospital told KNT that there were only 11 confirmed cases in the hospital but yesterday due to sudden spike, 20 positive patients were brought to hospital from North Kashmir.
“12 positive patients arrived at the hospital from Bandipora while 8 from Baramulla. Till date, there are 20 positive patients who been kept in isolation,” he said adding that the majority of these patients are doing fine.
In response to a question, the medico said that so for no patient has been discharged from the hospital.
Meanwhile, 2 family members of a Covid-19 positive were tested positive on Saturday. They hail from Drugmulla Shahwali Muqam of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Ansul Garg told KNT that two new positive patients are the family members of the same student who was tested positive yesterday and who had concealed travel history.
He said 14 family members and 20 friends of these patients have been put under observation in the district while efforts are on to trace all those people who have come into contact with this youth. This youth had a travel history to New Delhi.

Over 1500 people from border district Kupwara with travel history returned home last month.
Kashmir today witnessed 12 confirmed cases while 5 Covid-19 cases emerged from Jammu taking the total number of cases to 224 in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir.
