Srinagar: As many as 54 samples that were diagnosed for Covid-19 at the SKIMS laboratory have turned positive, officials said.
Dr Ghulam Hassan Yatoo Deputy Medical Superintendent SKIMS told that 54 persons have been tested positive for COVID19 at the SKIMS laboratory.
“Of the 54 new cases, 18 are from Kupwara, 15 are from Shopian, seven from Anantnag, seven from Baramulla, four from Bandipora, eight from Srinagar, four from Srinagar, two from Srinagar and one from Delhi,” he said.
According to official sources, 18 samples received from Kupwara district turned positive, including a banker from Ghofabal, a 28-year woman from Poshpora, a 28-year-old female from Kunan, a 50-year-old man and 35-year-old man from Panzgam, a 31-year-old male from Reddi, a 27-year-old female and 25-year-old women from K Gabra Karnah, a 30-year-old doctor from Hajinard Karnah, a 45-year-old man from Anantnag Kupwara, 52 female, 18-year-old girl, 18-year-old boy residents of Warnow Lolab.
He said seven samples received from DH Anantnag turned positive, including a 40-year-old male from Wanihama, a 20-year-old girl from Pahalgam, a 32-year-old male from Pahalgam, 30-year-old female from Pahalgam and a 70-year-old woman, 27-year-old female, a 40-year-old woman from Deva Colony Anantnag.
He added that a 35-year old doctor from Barzulla Srinagar has also tested positive.
He said 1785 samples had been tested at the lab in 24 hours.
As of now, J&K has reported 4400 cases, 2840 are Active Positive, 1506 have recovered and 51 have died; 05 in Jammu division and 46 in Kashmir division.
