Srinagar, Oct 2, KNT: Janata Dal United Friday appealed Lieutenant Governor to show door to those bureaucrats who have hijacked the civil secretariat Srinagar.
While addressing a press conference in Raj Bagh area of Srinagar, Janata Dal United president for Jammu and Kashmir G.M.Shaheen alleged that people of Kashmir are suffering due to callous attitude of some top bureaucrats. He alleged that a number of DC’s particularly in Baramulla and Anantnag avoid common people and never meet them.
“The mess created in Kashmir has started from Civil Secretariat. For decades, some bureaucrats are holding the same posts and there is a dire need for a reshuffle in the Civil Secretariat,” G.M Shaheen said.
He said people are confronting with multiple problems and there is none who can address them.
“Secretariat has been virtually closed for common people. Corruption and nepotism is on peak and this must be looked into,” he said adding that JDU will hit to roads if corrupt bureaucrats are not shown door.
Shaheen also paid rich tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary. (KNT)
