Srinagar, Dec 1, KNT: Awami National Conference Tuesday castigated Union Minister Dr Jintendar Singh for claiming that BJP is conducting election for DDC after a gap of 70 years.
Senior vice president ANC and PAGD apex member Muzafar Shah said that people of Jammu and Kashmir knew the reality and they can’t be befooled.
He said that Dr Jitendar Singh is lying through his teeth and misleading the country and the people of Jammu and Kashmir in particular when stating that these elections were being held after a gap of 70 years.
“Let it be known to one and all and to the BJP and RSS that Panchayat elections were held in Jammu and Kashmir in 1968. Not only that Sher-i-Kashmir gave the concept of single line administration and DDB concept to the whole country designed for decentralization of powers to the panchayat level.”
The people of J&K can’t be befooled by such blatant lies, he said.
Shah further stated that it was during the same tenure of Shiekh Muhammad Abdullha in 1977 that not only were Panchayat elections were held but the concept of cooperative society was given which gave banking facilities and loan without mortgage to the rural poor in particular to the sector of agriculture, horticulture, handicrafts, carpet weavers etc.
The BJP and RSS are claiming ignorance and spreading lies to the nation.
The people of J&K are hell-bent upon giving a befitting reply to the RSS and BJP by sending them out of J&K mercilessly beaten in the DDC elections, the ANC vice president said during an addressing to people in Soibugh Budgam. (KNT)
