Srinagar: A 19-year-old girl was killed and four injured when a private vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a nallah in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday morning.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that a four wheeler Alto bearing registration number HR51 AU 7420 fell into a nallah after the driver lost control over the wheels due to slippery condition of the road followed by fresh snowfall.
In the mishap five persons were injured and were rushed to nearby hospital where one among the injured succumbed to injuries official added.
Meanwhile a police officer also confirmed this road accident to Kashmir Despatch and said a vehicle fell down from bridge to nalla at Kralpora.
The officer identified deceased as Usma Iqbal daughter of Mohd Iqbal Bhat of Rashinpora.
While injured have been identified as Mohd Maqbool Bhat S/o Mohd Abdullah Bhat age 55 years, Bashir Ahmad Beigh S/o Gh Hussan Beigh age 45 years Driver, Asif Ahmad Bhat S/o Mohd Maqbool Bhat, Jabeena Begum w/o Farooq Ahmad Bhat all residents of Ratnipora.
