Sopore,July 4 CNS: To Continue their Crackdown against Drug Mafia in North kashmir sopore Police has arrested Four Notorious Drug Suppliers along with three Kilograms of Charas from Different areas of Baramulla District.
Sub Divisional Police Officer Sopore Raja Majid Told CNS that On a reliable information regarding the distribution/supply of drugs by peddlers among the vulnerable section of society i.e, youth of town Sopore a Police party of Police Station Tarzoo headed by SHO Police Station Tarzoo Bilal Khanday under the supervision of SDPO Sopore Raja Majid established a naka at national highway Choora and intercepted a Tata Sumo bearing Registration No. JKO5B 0632 during search of the vehicle recovered 1.5 Kilograms of Charas two peddlers namely Sajad Ahmad Lone S/O Ghulam Ahmad Lone and Abdul Majid Lone S/O Mohammad Ismail Lone both are residents of Tujjar Shareef Sopore arrested, and vehicle seized.
SDPO Sopore Further told CNS that Similarly, Naka was established at railway crossing Amargrah Sopore and intercepted a maruti car bearing registration number JK15 1691 during search 1.5 KGS of Charas and two drug peddlers namely Nissar Ahmad Kumar S/O Mohammad Ramzan Kumar R/O Plan Bandipora and Mohammad Ashraf Bhat @Asha S/O Late Mohammad Maqbool Bhat R/O Rebban Sopore
In this regard Case FIR No.’s 70,71/2019 U/S 8/20, 29 NDPS Act has been registered respectively in Police Station Tarzoo & investigation taken up. Pertinent to mention here Sopore Police has waged a war against drug menace and with the assistance/ cooperation of local population many peddlers were arrested in past few months.
