Baramulla: At-least sixteen people from three families in Authora area of Kreeri have been quarantine for visiting the house of Gund Jehangir man who died of COVID infection a few days back.
Tehsildar Kreeri, Syed Shabir told JKNS that nine suspects who had visited Gund Jehangir have been sent to GMC Baramulla for quarantine whereas the remaining seven family members including four children have been advised home quarantine and their homes have been sealed off. He said they will be under close monitoring and the neighbors and others have also been advised to avoid contact with these three families.
According to Tehsildar, though none of the family members had any symptoms yet sending them to quarantine was necessitated due to their visit to the family where 11 more came positive on Thursday.
Meanwhile the authorities have carried out a massive disinfection drive in Kreeri town today.
