PAMPORE, APRIL 12: Amid strict restrictions in Tehsil Jurisdiction, the Revenue department Pampore and Pampore police on Sunday late headed by Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din and Station House officer Manzoor Ahmad laid a Naka on Khrew Pampore road near Tulbagh area of Pampore town and seized thirteen Vehicles who according to officials were found moving unnecessarily.
Meanwhile, authorities across the valley have tightened the restrictions amid the number of Coronavirus cases rising sharply, however, the Cheif Secretary yesterday had ordered district Magistrates to strictly implement lockdown and enforce necessary restrictions in view of the spread of the pandemic.
While talking to Sachnews Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din said” restrictions under section 144 have been imposed across the Tehsil Jurisdiction, however, some unscrupulous elements were found roaming unnecessarily during night hours for which we laid a Naka along with police headed by concerned SHO and we have seized thirteen Vehicles”. He further said that the such Nakas will be laid till late during night hours in the coming days as well. He also requested people to stay at home, avoid gatherings and cooperate with the authorities in the enforcement of lockdown.
